This tour will take you to Pu Luong Nature Reserve – a quiet place with unspoiled beauty. Walking is the best way to discover nature around as well as local culture. Wander through terraced fields offering hundreds of photo opportunities gives you relaxing moments. Biking around beautiful remote hamlets in Pu Luong surrounded by tropical forests and interacting Thai ethnic people are enchanting experiences on your journey. Welcome to Pu Luong.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: DAY 1: HANOI – PU LUONG (L/D)

7:00 AM: Be picked up by our guide and driver at Hanoi Opera House or your hotel in the Old Quarter then depart for Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Estimate a 4 hour scenic drive without heavy traffic.

Stop at the halfway at a part of Cuc Phuong National Park for a rest around 20 minutes.

Before noon, arrive at Pu Luong, check in homestay and have lunch. Free to relax and wander around the homestay.

In the afternoon, we will explore the tribal life of locals in Pu Luong. Transfer to Ban Cong and start a 4.5km walk. Go across a wooden bridge to one of the most scenic villages at Pu Luong where the largest stream flows through. Keep walking on a path alongside the river, you will have opportunities to see stuning landscape, rice fields... Stop for admiring giant water wheels by the way - the greatest creation of mountainous ethnic minorities in Vietnam.

Arrive at Chieu Lau dam and and join a river rafting. Time to relax and enjoy the views around. Have fun to paddle the raft upstream with locals. Then, on the other side of the dam, take a 1.6km walk through rice fields, villages with stilt houses to the main road and transfer back.

When the sun sets, get back your homestay. Dinner is served at the homestay. Free time in the evening.

Overnight in Puluong.

Day 2: DAY 2: PU LUONG – HANOI (B/L)

Wake up in refreshing mountain air. Breakfast is served from 6:00. Recharge fully and get ready by 8:00 AM.

Walk down the valley to Don village known as the epicenter of Pu Luong. The area offers an easy road through vast terraced fields. You will have chances to admire the stunning ambience changing just after some footsteps. After a walk of 4km, you will continue on a small path to Uoi hamlet. Looking from high, the hamlet stays humble at the foot of the grand mountain. We promise the landscape will feast your eyes and overload your phone card memory.

Continue walking down the hill to a local house, where you take a 40-minute ride around Lan village known as the “Kingdom of Thai People in Pu Luong” with 100 Thai People families. Leisurely ride through paddy fields and you can catch lively and close sights from cool streams, farmlands, and ducks paddling in ponds to friendly locals there.

After that, transfer back for lunch by 11:30 A. Check out your room.

After lunch, we say goodbye Pu Luong and get back to Hanoi.

Drop off at your hotel in Hanoi around 6:30 PM.

Additional information

1. Deposits & Payment Policy:

A deposit of 50% of the total of the tour is required upon confirmation of booking tour. You have peace of mind until 1 months before departure dates. At that point, we would require full prepayment only 60 days before departure for all services by money transfer or credit card payment with all bank transfer charges/ fees to be paid by the client.
Payment is available by bank transfer or OnePay. VAT is 10%. OnePay collects a 50% deposit of the tour total including VAT, plus a 3.5% processing fee on that deposit. Bank transfer has no OnePay processing fee. The exchange rate and exact VND amount are displayed before payment.
After receiving your payment, we will issue the hotel voucher and/or final confirmation itinerary, which can be sent to you by email or chatting texts to you phone’s number.
Price applies to weekdays. Reservations during peak times (Christmas, New Year, Vietnamese Lunar New Year, National Holidays) may be subject to supplementary charges. On public holidays, the surcharge will be from 20 to 30% of the tour price and the ticket price will increase.

2. Booking Amendment:
Flexibility is one of our pride. You can amend your booking when it is customized. Just contact us at tours@vitravel.com.vn with your booking number(s). Our reservations team is happy to amend your booking(s) accordingly.

3. Cancellation Policy:
Non-Refundable:
NON REFUNDABLE deposit of USD$20 per person for hotels and air ticket booking upon services confirmation and US$ 100 per person upon the package tours services confirmation

Cancellations timeline will be charged as follows:

60 days prior to the arrival date: Non Refundable deposit charge and the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
59 – 31 days prior to arrival date: Cancellations fee of 30% per group/booking and plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
30 days – 15 days prior to arrival date: Cancellations fee of 50% per group/booking plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
14 – 7 days before arrival: Cancellations fee 70% charge plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
Less than 7 days before arrival Or No show: 100 % charge per group/booking.

*** Nonrefundable deposit and banking service fee will be forfeited in all cancellation cases.

4. Refund of Unused Services:
No refund will be given for any unused service after the trip has commenced.

5. Liability:
ViTravel is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers. Additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disaster, political actions, and unrest must be borne by the passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance.

6. Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for details.
ViTravel strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour: the loss of deposits through cancellation lost of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.
